Chief: erick ecker
Erick Ecker is serving as the Chief of SBVAC for the 2026-2027 year. As Chief, Erick is responsible for overseeing all SBVAC operations and serving as SBVAC’s liaison to other EMS agencies. Erick also serves as a cleared EMT-P, field training officer, emergency vehicle operator, senior driver trainer, and instructor for our probationary class.

First Assistant Chief: elisabeth chai
Elisabeth Chai is serving as First Assistant Chief of SBVAC for the 2026-2027 year. Elisabeth is responsible for overseeing the clearance and continual training of SBVAC’s EMT-Bs. Elisabeth also serves as a cleared EMT-B, field training officer, and instructor for our probationary class.

Second Assistant Chief: Vacant
Erick Ecker is also acting as Second Assistant Chief of SBVAC for the 2026-2027 year. As Second Assistant Chief, Erick is responsible for overseeing the clearance of SBVAC’s emergency vehicle operators and ensuring that our vehicles are properly maintained. Erick also serves as a cleared EMT-P, field training officer, emergency vehicle operator, senior driver trainer, and instructor for our probationary class.

Captain: brandon sala
Brandon Sala is serving as the Captain of SBVAC for the 2026-2027 year. As Captain, Brandon is responsible for overseeing SBVAC’s Probationary Class and the continued training of SBVAC membership. Brandon also serves as a cleared EMT-B, field training officer, emergency vehicle operator, driver trainer, and instructor for our probationary class.

LIEUTENANT: mia marchitto
Mia Marchitto is serving as Lieutenant of SBVAC for the 2026-2027 year. As Lieutenant, Mia is responsible for ordering and managing all SBVAC medical supplies, equipment, and uniforms. Mia also serves as emergency vehicle operator, EMT-B, and teaching assistant for our probationary class.
