Thank you for your interest in joining the Stony Brook Volunteer Ambulance Corps for the spring 2026 Probationary Class!

We are a NY State certified emergency ambulance agency primarily serving Stony Brook University and its surrounding areas. We operate twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Individuals looking to join our Spring 2026 probationary class must attend an Open House during the first two weeks of the Spring 2026 semester. Open House dates will be posted below and on SBVAC’s Instagram account (@stonybrookems).

After attending an Open House during the beginning of the Spring 2026 semester, applicants must complete a written application. Please check back in late January 2026 for updates on the upcoming application process.

Certifications and prior experience are not required in order to apply. Applicants must be at least 17 years old.
